Case Study: Vistara
Vistara is India’s only five-star airline created by TATA group and Singapore Airlines. Aviareps UK became Vistara GSA when they launched direct Delhi-London flights in 2019. Vistara entered a very competitive market and one of the top outbound routes with British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Air India operating direct flights. There is also significant 1 stop competition to multiple regional cities in India from Qatar, Etihad and Emirates airlines.
AVIAREPS UK offers Vistara dedicated Reservations and Ticketing staff (Sales x3, reservations x2 and x3 airport supervisors). With targeted sales and marketing activities and building and utilizing our existing network of industry relationships we managed to operate a daily flight within the first 6 months. In 2023 this was expanded to a x2 daily operation on both LHR-BOM & DEL with growing load-factors and yield.
Results:
- Daily flights launched in June 2022 LHR-DEL with a second daily flight LHR-BOM being added in late 2023.
- In summer 2023 Vistara achieved the market share of 15% on the route heavily operated by BA, VS and AI.
- Established strong relationship with key partners with 50 PLIs already in place. With the initial volume based on string VFR traffic over the past 18 months this has growth to both Corporate, TMC and Tour Operation offering increases in average yield.
- Increased brand awareness and product knowledge through a series of events, airport and destination fam trips, participation in Business Travel Show and strong ongoing marketing activities via partner engagement, social media management and agent education.
